ArtistCrafts' Privacy Policy

Introduction:

At ArtistCrafts, your trust in us is of paramount importance.  We are committed to protecting your privacy. We respect your privacy, and we try to adhere to the guidelines posted by leading consumer privacy groups.

What follows is what we hope is a clear and easy to understand policy on your information and how we use it. We promise to honor your requests not to use your information. Information we Collect

There are several types of information we collect, depending on what you do on our site. Private Information is information that identifies you as an individual, like your name, email address, and street address.  Demographic information cannot be used to identify you personally, such as gender and age range. Usage information pertains to the use of our site - what pages are visited, etc. This information also does not identify you personally.

How we Collect Information

You can visit our web site without disclosing any information. We may keep track of the internet service address that people use when they visit us, to analyze information about who visits us and from where.

If you have an account with us, or register to participate in our mailing list, giveaways, promotions, catalogs, contests, sweepstakes or the like, we may ask you to provide information about yourself. To participate in that event, or special offer, you must provide the information we request.

If you order products from our site, it is necessary for us to possess Private Information about you. We also maintain a record of your product purchases and other information necessary to do business with you, such as your mailing and/or e-mail addresses.  This information is stored in protected directories on our server, and is downloaded to local computers on an ongoing basis.  We may also collect information about you when you post comments or questions to our site, sign our Guest Book, or fill out a survey for us.

When you visit our site, we may collect Usage Information about you: where you visited, where you exited, what type of operating system and browser you have. We do this so help us improve our site and make it more interesting.

We may also use information that helps us understand where our orders come from, and how people who order from us came to our site. This Usage Information does not contain any Private Information about you. We may collect and share this Usage information with other companies, compensated or not, to help us understand and improve our web site and online ordering. However, no one can trace any such information to you and cannot contact you as a result of receiving this information.

How we Use Information

We do not sell, share, or otherwise disclose any of your information. We never disclose credit or financial information to anyone, ever. We may use, or disclose, other information we collect in the following circumstances:

Online Purchases:

We may use your personal information to enhance and/or personalize your shopping experience on our site, creating faster and more convenient ways to order. We may use this information to process and track your purchases and shipments. We may also use your information with third party businesses to process transactions, fulfill shipments, or otherwise assist in the completion of your order placed on our site.

Order Analysis:

We use your information to analyze and report on sales and products that our customers order, and who orders what type of product.

Partners:

We may use certain partners to help us make our web site an interesting and informative one, and help us to offer additional products our customers might appreciate. These partners have passed our screening process and value your privacy as much as we do. They have privacy policies similar to ours.  We never "sell" any information to anyone.

Legal:

If we believe we are required to provide your Private Information by a law enforcement agency, we will do so. We may also do so to protect the rights of our company and its property and employees.

How to Update, Correct, or Delete Information About You:

If you order online from us, we will maintain your information, and you may be added to our mailing list. If you wish to be removed at any time, you may contact maillist@artistcrafts.com with your request.

As a convenience for our customers, we may provide links to other sites. We are not responsible for content or practices on these sites. Please make sure you are familiar with the privacy policies on these sites before providing any information.

Children:

Our Site is geared toward the adults and the general populace. While we believe that there is nothing on the site that is objectionable to children, this site is not intended for them, nor do we intend to collect any information on children. We will not maintain information on nor communicate with any person under thirteen years of age. 

To respect their privacy, children should not provide any personal information on our site. Parents should always supervise children while they are online.

Security:

We use PayPal to process online payments.  PayPal uses 128 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption of your order and credit card information to insure its safety when sent over the internet. SSL scrambles the information so that it is impossible to intercept. We make our best reasonable efforts to store and maintain your information, and protect it from loss or misuse, once we receive it. We cannot be responsible for misuse of your account by other users.

Policy Changes:

We reserve the right to change our policy from time to time, as conditions may dictate. Our privacy policy page is date-stamped with the date the policy was last updated. In the event that we do change our policy, we will post it. Any new policies apply to all present and past visitors of our web site. Any new policy supersedes any older policies.  Please check our policy page each time you visit to make sure you are aware of the current policy.
